Creating peaceful environments.
Compassionate palliative and end-of-life care offers solace and support to residents and their loved ones during one of life’s most challenging times.
At Aeralife, palliative and end-of-life care is centred around providing comfort, dignity, and support to our residents during their final stages of life. Our team is dedicated to creating a compassionate environment where residents feel valued and at peace. We focus on alleviating pain and managing symptoms, ensuring each individual’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met with utmost care and respect.
We prioritise each resident at the centre of their care, actively involving them in decision-making to honour their wishes, values, and cultural needs.
Family involvement is a crucial aspect of palliative and end-of-life care. We encourage open communication and collaboration with family members to understand their loved one’s preferences and wishes. By fostering a supportive network, we aim to provide reassurance and guidance to families during this difficult time, helping them navigate the emotional and practical challenges they may face.
How does palliative care differ from other types of care?
Palliative care is not the same as end-of-life care. You can receive palliative care at any stage of your illness. You can also continue treatment for your illness while you are having palliative care.
What is palliative care?
Palliative care strives to help individuals live as fully and comfortably as possible while facing a life-limiting or terminal illness. Our clinical care team work closely with GPs, specialists, and local community palliative care teams to deliver comprehensive care.
What is end-of-life care?
End-of-life care encompasses the final weeks of life for individuals with life-limiting illnesses as they near death. During this profoundly challenging and emotional period, our care team, along with specialist teams, provides enhanced support to both residents and their families.
