Opening at the end of 2023, Aeralife Northpoint’s state-of-the-art Memory Support Unit is purpose-built and designed to bring residents a sense of belonging, safety, independence and connection to others.

Best-practice dementia-friendly design has been used across everything from size, layout, heating and lighting, furnishings, technology and equipment to the dining experience and care model. There are special gardens and courtyards too, designed to promote positive mental and physical health benefits. All to ensure a vibrant, happy life for your loved one.

Best practice dementia care

We have partnered with Dementia Australia’s education team to deliver Advanced Dementia training to our care teams. Our care team members are equipped with best-practice strategies for effective connection and communication with the resident community. We are also affiliated with award-winning suppliers of play based products such as Tover. These products bring an enhanced quality of life through purposeful play. As our Memory Support Unit is secure, you can rest assured your loved one will be safe as they move freely amongst the lounges, dining areas and gardens.

Small, home care approach

A smaller home-like care model of just 14 residents means we’re able to offer highly flexible, personalised daily care better suited to each resident’s individual preferences.

There are no fixed schedules; instead, residents are empowered to make choices, from mealtimes to showers, just as they would in their own homes. This freedom to choose is specifically designed to promote a sense of familiarity, comfort, and security, ensuring every resident feels truly at home.
