Aeralife Northpoint backs local footy and local aged care

At Aeralife, we support local aged care and believe strong communities are built through connection – and nothing brings people together quite like local footy.

That’s why we’re proud to announce Aeralife Northpoint’s sponsorship of the Epping Football Netball Club (EFNC) for the 2025 season – a perfect match for our mission to support local aged care and community connection.

A proud local club with deep community roots

Just a few minutes from our Northpoint home in Epping, EFNC has been a cornerstone of the local community since 1896. More than just a sporting club, EFNC represents generations of passion, teamwork, and belonging. With a proud legacy and a broad network of families, supporters, and long-standing members – many of them older locals – it’s a club that perfectly reflects our commitment to care, connection, and community.

Merv and Janice’s story: Local footy and local aged care

One of those long-standing members is Merv, who has been involved with EFNC for decades. A familiar face around the club, Merv supported his kids through years of footy seasons and has always been a proud backer of his local team.

So, when his wife Janice needed additional care after a stay at Northern Hospital, it made perfect sense for Merv to turn to Aeralife Northpoint – a trusted provider of local aged care just around the corner from the club he’s supported for so long.

“I wanted Janice somewhere close, somewhere that felt familiar,” Merv says. “When I saw how close Northpoint was to EFNC – it just felt right. I’ve spent so much of my life around that ground, and now Janice is just a stone’s throw away, being cared for by people who genuinely look out for her.”

I’ve spent so much of my life around that ground, and now Janice is just a stone’s throw away, being cared for by people who genuinely look out for her.

More than care – it’s feeling at home

For Merv, finding aged care wasn’t just about proximity – it was about finding the right people.

“The support we got from day one was amazing. They helped us with everything – the room, the paperwork, the emotional side of it too. The team at Northpoint made it feel less like aged care and more like home,” he shares. “I can honestly say, Janice is living her best life. She’s safe, she’s happy – and that means everything to me.”

A club that gives back to the Epping community

EFNC’s impact extends far beyond the field. The club actively partners with local organisations such as Northern Health, Mind Australia, and From Us 2 U, supporting everything from mental health services to charitable programs that feed the homeless and families in need. Their involvement in initiatives like the Good Friday Appeal highlights a deep dedication to giving back – something we at Aeralife deeply respect and proudly support.

More than a sponsorship – a shared commitment

“We’re incredibly proud to support a club that shares our values of community, inclusion and resilience,” says Kate Kaur, Residence Manager at Aeralife Northpoint. “This sponsorship isn’t just about footy – it’s about being present in the lives of our residents, their families, and our local community in meaningful ways.”

Bringing aged care and footy closer together

“This sponsorship isn’t just about footy – it’s about being present in the lives of our residents, their families, and our local community in meaningful ways.”

This partnership gives Aeralife Northpoint the opportunity to deepen our roots within the Epping community and further connect with families seeking compassionate local aged care.

Through match-day experiences, shared initiatives, and face-to-face engagement with players, families, and supporters, we’re excited to raise awareness of our aged care services – while cheering for the team in true Northpoint spirit.

A front-row seat to community spirit

Throughout the 2025 season, Aeralife Northpoint residents and their loved ones will also enjoy the chance to attend select home games, take part in the electric match-day atmosphere, and enjoy hospitality in the club’s True Blue Room – a front-row seat to community spirit in action.

Standing together, supporting one another

Because this sponsorship isn’t just a logo – it’s a shared commitment to community, care, and the values that define quality local aged care.

We’re proud to stand beside EFNC – and proud to support people like Merv, Janice, and all those who call our Epping community home.
