About the Role
This role is based at our support office and reporting to Finance Business Partner.
Accounts Officer will partner with Consumers, Families and other third-party stakeholders. You will bring your enthusiasm, sound administration skills and your passion for collaboration to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that consumer accounts are set up and maintained with all required information
- Attending to and resolving client and supplier enquiries inquiries.
- Process cheques, direct debits / deposits and other related banking tasks
- Follow-up on overdue debtors’ balances in line with organisational policies
- Perform account reconciliation
- Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, including Suppliers, ATO, SRO, State Trustees, Dept of Veteran Affairs etc.
- Extensive administrative support to the wider office
- Answering and responding to all incoming calls
- Managing all incoming / outgoing mail
- General Accounts Receivable duties
- Ad hoc duties as required

About You
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, the ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently is essential.
- Experience in Aged Care sector desirable but not essential
- An in-depth understanding of the role Accounts Receivable plays in a business is essential.
- Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and ERP systems are essential, including the ability to export and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with the AIM Software Billing system and Xero is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work autonomously, a self-starter, as well as being a team player.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
